This complete vintage 1960s Marshall Field & Company 3-piece suit from The Store for Men is tailored in the USA under the prestigious American Craftsmen line and features an authentic Amalgamated Clothing Workers union label. Marshall Field's flagship Chicago location opened "The Store for Men" in 1914, a pioneering six-floor retail landmark dedicated exclusively to masculine tailoring, high-end haberdashery, and custom grooming, cementing the department store as a national titan of classic American style. The high-quality textile is a crisp micro-houndstooth check pattern meticulously woven from 65% polyester and 35% worsted wool. The single-breasted jacket features a two-button front, a steel-blue partial lining, and a classic vented back. The matching five-button vest is fully lined with a satin back, and the flat-front trousers feature a classic straight leg. Condition notes: The exterior shows some very light staining at the bottom of the front right leg, as well as a small spot inside the lapel just above the button as shown in the photos. The interior of the trousers exhibits typical vintage discoloration on the white cotton pockets and waist lining. Jacket measures 23 inches pit to pit. Trousers measure a 41-inch waist with a 12-inch rise and a 30-inch inseam.
